This Summer Internship will take place onsite at our corporate office in downtown Chicago, where interns will collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain hands-on exposure to Home Chef’s operations. Throughout the program, interns will support a variety of impactful projects including new process startups, tool enhancements, facility launch support, and initiatives that drive standardization across the enterprise. You’ll also take part in gap and data analyses and contribute to projects that help move our business forward. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about the fast-growing meal solutions industry while gaining real world experience with operations at both the corporate and plant level. Along the way, you’ll build valuable skills, connect with teams across the business, and see firsthand how ideas turn into action at Home Chef!
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field in Operations
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office, ability to pick up on new technology tools quickly
- Detail oriented and organized
- Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects at a time
- Up to one year of post-high school training such as in a business school, community college or vocational training
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist in project documentation, including identifying project scope, risks, constraints, dependencies, assumptions, and deadlines
- Working with stakeholders to execute against project goals
- Pull relevant data from Home Chef systems and put together reports / dashboards in Google sheets
- Drive process improvements via data driven decision making
- Assist in data cleanup inside of Home Chef systems as we continue to grow and refine processes (e.g. ingredients database)
- Build presentations and report out to Operations leadership on project status
- Attend learning and development classes hosted by various leaders across the organization, building skills in deck building, reporting, project management, etc.
