Operations Intern
About The Position
Operations Intern will work alongside our Airport Operations Department. In addition to working with Airport Operations the intern will have the opportunity to work with other departments within our organization to include our Department of Public Safety. The intern's duties may include; airport security badge issuance and training, airside and landside inspections, wildlife hazard management, and tenant fuel farm and fuel truck inspections. The internship is a 10-week period set to take place during the months of May -August, with the exact dates to be determined based on the intern 's availability. Compensation: Junior or Senior - $13hr Graduate - $15hr Interns are guaranteed 40hr per week Housing is not provided by the Columbia Metropolitan Airport.
Requirements
- Full-time student at a four-year college or university in the Southeast Region of AAAE with an accredited aviation management or similar program.
- Junior or Senior measured by credit hours or recent graduate (within 1 year).
- Actively pursuing a career in airport management, operations, planning, or closely related airport or aviation management field.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
