About The Position

Under the supervision of District Manager, this Store Associate is responsible for receiving, assembly of home delivery product, sorting, storing merchandise, delivery, equipment repair, truck maintenance and supporting multiple store activities as needed during seasonal peaks. This is a hands-on physical role with limited administrative responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Assembly for Home Delivery Carefully assemble grills to maintain a basic inventory of ready to deliver grills supporting Home Delivery program.Assemble specialty grills on a by order basis to ensure timely delivery. Create and coordinate all administrative documentation for each location, coordinate delivery schedules with locations, customers and District Manager to ensure customer expectations are exceeded while maintaining revenue margins and accurate inventories at all times.Communicate with the buyers and warehouse ensuring appropriate levels of stock are transferred, prepared and carefully stored until scheduled deliveries can be confirmed. Maintain open line of communication with buyers on ready to deliver stock that has been assembled.Maintain tools for assembly in a safe and secure location to be ready for last-minute customer requests. Maintain an orderly, clean and safe working environment at all times including while you are out on deliveries. Home Delivery Provide deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner.Provide personal attention to customer requests or product needs before, during and after the delivery.Accurately load delivery merchandise and inspect for any damages prior to delivery departure. Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle to meet all safety requirements.Maintain professional appearance, professional demeanor and a clean vehicle at all times. Develop and maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers and co-workers. Local Warehouse Operations Carefully unload and accurately receive incoming merchandise. Create manual transfers and transfer requests for centrally stocked merchandise as required. Transport materials and items from receiving to storage or to other designated areas using a hand truck or forklift (requires forklift certification). Maintain an orderly, clean and safe working environment at all times. Repair/Maintenance Repair Customer owned grills both under warranty and out of warranty. Order necessary parts to complete repairs as needed and communicate with customers to exceed their expectations. Maintain expense logs inclusive of hours and parts supporting repairs so that costs may be reimbursed by vendors. Organize work area and storage area for products and equipment in alignment with safety and store standards. JOB REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent. Mechanical aptitude, use of basic tools, with demonstrated work experience.Experience operating large equipment with clean safety record is strongly preferred.Ability to learn or is currently skilled at operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts and hand truck. Experience with inventory related software applications preferred.Must be conscientious, punctual, courteous and have exceptional customer service skills. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work inside and outside environment. Ability to work independently and in a team environment to complete assigned tasks and work in all weather conditions. . Must have a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and a clean driving record. Prefer 1 to 3 years verifiable related experience.
