About The Position

CAPI is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Operations Director to lead and manage our administrative areas of finance and operations. This pivotal role will oversee financial health, strengthen internal systems, and ensure efficient operations across our locations in Brooklyn Center and Minneapolis. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with the CEO and other Directors to drive strategic initiatives. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting CAPI's mission and is committed to advancing the social and economic position of immigrant communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or a professional background in finance, accounting, operations management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Strong cultural competency and the ability to work effectively across diverse communities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, proven project management abilities, proficiency in MS Office, experience with database management, and a valid MN Driver's License with access to reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership: Serve as the key liaison with All-In-One Accounting and oversee financial health indicators, including cash flow, receivables, and payables. You'll lead the effort to enhance our financial policies and compliance.
  • Operations Management: Provide strategic oversight of agency operations, including facilities management, IT services, and vendor relationships. Develop and implement policies to ensure operational excellence and risk management.
  • Human Resources & Payroll: Act as the main contact with Abdo Services. Oversee payroll and benefits administration.
  • Organizational Leadership: Supervise key administrative staff. Drive performance, manage hiring processes, and foster an inclusive and ethical work environment. Collaborate with the CEO and Directors to provide strategic direction, engage in high-level decision-making, and contribute to the development of organizational strategies.
  • Decision-Making Approach: Demonstrate sound judgement, strong self-awareness, and recognize when additional expertise is needed. Balance strategic oversight with a willingness to engage in operational details when required.
