About The Position

US Cargo, a subsidiary of PITT OHIO, is a family‑oriented transportation company serving customers throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Operations & Customer Support at our Columbus, OH terminal. Responsibilities Operations: Provide administrative support for all facets of the operation. • Conduct data entry, prepare various spreadsheets/reports, prepare driver paperwork, and compile billing information. • Answer incoming phones; be initial point of contact for the terminal for driver’s day to day inquiries and customer issues. Act as communication liaison for terminal manager; coordinate with other US Cargo terminals as needed.• Schedule pick ups/deliveries and communicate with all involved parties for adequate follow up and resolution.• Participate in contract preparation and assist with insuring contract compliance with independent contractor drivers. Customer Support: Provide coordination/customer service for one of US Cargo’s largest customers. • Direct and manage drivers assigned to this account to ensure daily pick up/delivery of product, and schedules and customer procedures are being followed.• Problem solve - coordinate solutions to customer service delays or other procedural issues.• Approve all driver paperwork submitted for accuracy.• Assist (as needed) on the dock for proper sorting and inventory of warehoused products• No work will be performed on the dock if freight includes hazardous material or needs the operation of a forklift. Qualifications • Experience with Excel and Microsoft Word• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Prior experience in customer service field• Must have valid driver’s license with fewer than 2 moving violations within last 3 years• Must pass criminal background check• Ability to perform dock work, including lifting 30 lbs. repetitively both above and below the waist level; pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, standing and walking. Requirements

  • Experience with Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience in customer service field
  • Must have valid driver’s license with fewer than 2 moving violations within last 3 years
  • Must pass criminal background check
