The Role As an Operations Consultant, you will partner closely with clients to identify opportunities for operational improvement and lead implementation efforts that deliver sustainable, measurable financial results. Working as part of Maine Pointe’s Analysis and Engagement teams, you will own defined workstreams and collaborate across the firm to improve client performance across manufacturing and processing operations. This role is ideal for experienced operations leaders with a strong consulting mindset and a passion for driving change on the shop floor and beyond.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or processing environments with demonstrated career progression
  • 5+ years of consulting experience delivering measurable operational improvements
  • Experience leading operational transformation initiatives in change-intensive environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead changes and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel up to 85% to client sites
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required (no sponsorship available)

Nice To Haves

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management certification
  • Expertise in areas such as OEE, maintenance and reliability, S&OP, quality improvement, and asset utilization

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned operational workstreams, delivering against study and engagement plans on time and on budget
  • Analyze client operations, including organization structure, processes, performance metrics, and results
  • Design and implement operational improvements that drive productivity, efficiency, and financial impact
  • Develop and deploy management operating systems and lean processes to support sustainable change
  • Partner with clients to build tools, processes, and capabilities that strengthen operational performance
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders and identify follow-on opportunities
