About The Position

As an Operations Business Analyst, you'll be an integral part of a collaborative, agile team. You'll design, analyze, and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency and exceed expectations. Security Benefit is searching for an Operations Business Analyst with proven experience to join our Operations team. The Business Analyst will work in our home office in Topeka, Kansas. Security Benefit associates will work a hybrid schedule with both remote and on-site work. The ideal candidate will excel in data analysis, reporting, and complex issue resolution.

Requirements

  • An experienced Business Analyst with 0-2 years' experience in financial services, with a key focus in operations
  • Have a bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Possess an analytical mindset with a focus on delivering digital client solutions
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Excel including data analysis and report creation
  • Solid knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data
  • Strong critical thinking to identify solutions and improve processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possess strong relationship building skills with the ability to interact positively and successfully with internal and external customers, and all levels of staff and management to meet business needs
  • Willing to develop a broad understanding of products, services, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws for effective performance
  • Willingness to take on diverse responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient knowledge in Salesforce is preferred
  • Retirement plan credentials (e.g., CRPS, QKS, QKA) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Address and resolve client inquiries or escalations promptly
  • Implement solutions for operational challenges, maintaining high service standards
  • Serve as primary contact to advisors and/or plan sponsors, maintaining and strengthening key relationships
  • Retrieve and manipulate data for reporting purposes to support strategic decision-making
  • Preparing technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends using Microsoft Excel and SQL
  • Review and process new plan implementation documents through our established intake procedures
  • Functioning as a liaison between our shared service providers and other internal or external teams and contacts to streamline administrative processes
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and ensure compliance with industry standards
