Position Summary NorthCoast Asset Management, a Division of Kovitz Investment Group, is looking for an Operations Associate to join our team. Based in our Stamford, CT office, the Operations Associate is responsible for NCAM operational billing and financial reporting functions. This role will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations and Compliance. Primary responsibilities include daily reconciliation of 6000+ accounts, daily/quarterly valuation, performance reporting, billing, assessing, and supporting infrastructure needs and supporting trader’s daily activities. Focus provides team members the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. Our hybrid model is defined as 3 days in office work required per week, while giving team members the option to work remotely 2 days per week, or as assigned by their team leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred but not required.
  • A positive attitude and high energy level
  • Proactive communication and follow-up.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Experience in the financial services industry a plus
  • Beginner-level Python and/or VBA knowledge is a plus
  • Previous experience with portfolio accounting systems preferably SS&C Technologies Global Wealth Platform (GWP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Reconciling equity and option positions, cash, and transactions for all custodians
  • Troubleshooting system, custodial and client operational issues
  • Tabulating and reporting high risk items to management through daily, weekly and monthly operational risk reporting
  • Research and resolve breaks by interfacing trading staff and external parties.
  • Research and resolve client and strategy performance reporting issues.
