Program Summary: We provide supportive trans services that go beyond medical care, including various programs, support groups, and outreach & navigation initiatives that are for, by, and of us. The focus of this case management program, housed within our behavioral health team, is to: 1. Work with unhoused and unstably housed trans people to help them take the necessary steps to access gender-affirming care and 2: provide assessment, referral, and support services to help them access essential medical, behavioral health, housing, and other psychosocial services. Ultimately, this program will support our clients in accessing gender-affirming care while achieving long-term housing and stability. Role Summary: The Operations & Safety Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining a safe environment for staff and clients and overseeing day to day internal operations at Trans Thrive, a comprehensive resource and drop-in center for the transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) community in San Francisco, offering a wide array of medical, social, and support services. The position will be part of a dynamic team providing these vital services and will collaborate with team members in implementing safety practices and performing day-to-day administrative processes for a seamless delivery of services and operations. The Operations & Safety Specialist duties and responsibilities should be centered around non-violent de-escalation, harm reduction, and trauma-informed restorative justice frameworks. This role requires a dynamic integration of advanced communication skills, knowledge of de-escalation and conflict resolution best practices to achieve safety for the clients and staff. It will model interventions that support healthy interpersonal conflict resolutions. The Operations & Safety Specialist will also be overseeing facility operations, including but not limited to; inventory management (ordering and restocking of supplies and resources) interfacing with vendors, coordinating building repairs and maintenance, and upholding safety and compliance regulations of the facility amenities as well as general tidiness and organization of the facility.
