We are seeking a highly analytical Operations and Events Coordinator to serve as the financial backbone of the Fitz Center for Leadership in Community. This central role requires advanced skill in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting budgetary data to plan future budgets and executive recommendations for the leadership team. You will directly facilitate our mission-critical goals by managing our operations, supporting grant acquisition, and overseeing crucial outreach-including the coordination of our key external events. The Operations and Events Coordinator plays a central role in the work of the Fitz Center through a variety of advanced professional and confidential duties that facilitate the operations of and further the mission-critical goals of the Fitz Center for Leadership in Community within the College of Arts and Sciences. The position supports external outreach and operations of Fitz Center community-facing initiatives; and provides financial and budgetary support for the Fitz Center. The position gathers, analyzes, and interprets financial information and budgetary data for decision making and strategic planning; prepares reports to illustrate findings; writes executive summaries with recommendations for supervisor. The Operations and Events Coordinator develops budgetary information through analysis and forecasting within the context of policies, practices and knowledge of center operations and budgetary requirements. The Operations and Events Coordinator works with the ED on human resource management through reviewing, updating, and creating position descriptions for staff members as needed (university applicant tracking system); consulting with ED regarding funding available for position upgrades and salary increases; assisting with hiring Graduate Assistants and other FCLC staff; onboarding graduate assistants, monthly meetings with Graduate Assistants for skills and team building and assists ED and directors with graduate student supervision; supervising Administrative Assistant, including onboarding and needed training, approval of timesheets, setting work priorities and goals, and identifies needs and opportunities for professional development. This position also works with ED supporting marketing, communication, and donor stewardship for the Fitz Center through maintaining new and current donor lists in partnership with University Advancement, providing ongoing support for Fitz Center strategic visioning, and working with ED in coordinating grant writing and acquisition. This position is responsible for organizing and/or supporting our high profile Fitz Center external-facing events, such as the yearly symposium, alumni gatherings, and other mission-critical Fitz Center events.
