About The Position

The Global Tool Unit (GTU) are a part of ITW’s Construction Segment. We specialize in innovation, development, and manufacturing best-in-class Power Fastening Systems for the global construction market. The Operations Analyst supports sourcing, purchasing, and finance functions by analyzing operational, supply chain, and inventory data to enable informed decision-making. This role focuses on manufacturing environments, inventory management, and transforming imperfect data into reliable, actionable information.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and production environments.
  • Solid knowledge of supply chain and inventory management.
  • Financial analysis and cost awareness.
  • Advanced Excel and database management skills.
  • Ability to clean, structure, and analyze imperfect datasets.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or analytics.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, QAD, Oracle, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; BI tools preferred.
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing & Supply Chain Support phase-in / phase-out and re-sourcing projects.
  • Track tooling expenditures and supplier capacity.
  • Analyze freight effectiveness based on part size, volume, and total cost.
  • Monitor supplier safety stock and inventory agreements (80/20 focus).
  • Prepare supplier scorecard summaries and executive reports.
  • Support working capital initiatives (tariffs, rebates, contracts).
  • Purchasing & Demand Management Monitor demand and forecast changes.
  • Support production rescheduling and cancellation to reduce SLOB.
  • Coordinate ramp-down activities for engineering changes and new products.
  • Track critical items, expediting, and supplier commitments.
  • Maintain visibility of supplier coverage and stocking agreements.
  • Support risk mitigation planning with cross-functional teams.
  • Financial & Compliance Support Analyze financial risk related to inventory and obsolescence.
  • Support tooling CAPEX tracking and forecasting.
  • Validate rebates, tariffs, and contractual benefits.
  • Improve reporting rigor for inventory and working capital.
  • Support financial compliance and audit readiness.
