About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking an Operations Analyst to join a team supporting the Engineering Division by assisting with the coordination, documentation, and operational execution of engineering projects and departmental initiatives. This role serves as a cross-functional resource responsible for supporting purchasing activities, maintaining technical documentation, assisting with project scheduling, and conducting research to support engineering programs and business development efforts. The position is intended for an organized, technically inclined individual who can interface effectively with engineers, project managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to help maintain operational efficiency across the division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering teams and technical staff.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytical or technical field
  • Experience supporting engineering or technical teams.
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation practices.
  • Experience with procurement coordination or vendor management.
  • Exposure to project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar).
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Technically curious with the ability to learn engineering concepts quickly.
  • Self-starter who can operate with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to engineering teams across multiple projects.
  • Track project tasks, schedules, and deliverables using project management tools.
  • Assist with coordination between engineering, manufacturing, and program teams.
  • Support preparation of technical reports, documentation packages, and presentations.
  • Assist with procurement of materials, components, and services in support of engineering projects.
  • Coordinate with vendors for quotes, lead times, and technical documentation.
  • Support material tracking for engineering builds and prototype activities.
  • Maintain engineering documentation including reports, specifications, and design packages.
  • Assist engineers in preparing technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support document control processes and version management.
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules, milestones, and deliverable tracking.
  • Help coordinate internal meetings, design reviews, and status updates.
  • Support preparation of project status reports and task tracking.
  • Conduct technical and market research to support potential programs, proposals, or new business opportunities.
  • Gather information on technologies, suppliers, and industry capabilities relevant to engineering initiatives.
  • Assist with preparation of white papers, proposal inputs, and technical summaries when needed.
