About The Position

As an Automation and Operational Technology Engineer, you will be a key player in implementing and supporting PLC-based control systems and automation solutions within our GxP manufacturing environment. You will co-create with a talented team of Site Engineers and Manufacturing IT professionals to safeguard reliable and compliant OT operations and deliver innovative solutions that improve performance and drive our digital strategy forward.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related IT or engineering field
  • Several years of hands-on experience with relevant technologies in manufacturing
  • Proficient in manufacturing process control systems, electrical systems, and knowledgeable in PLC and HMI programming
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to understand business value drivers and a passion for driving change
  • Highly motivated with the ability to build strong relationships across various teams and levels
  • Skilled in conveying complex technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in supporting cyber security initiatives, including system hardening and configuration management.

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with relevant technologies in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Act as the go-to resource for digital and automation solutions, tackling manufacturing challenges and enhancing operational performance
  • Problem Solver: Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analyses to implement effective, sustainable solutions
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure production systems and devices are online and functioning optimally, providing essential operational support
  • Vendor Collaboration: Interface with vendors for discussions, consultations, and upgrades to optimize our systems
  • Project Support: Take the lead on smaller projects while supporting larger initiatives, contributing to our automation transformation journey
  • Data-Driven Insights: Gather and analyze system performance data to identify and implement process improvements
  • Cyber Security Advocate: Provide input on the development and revision of policies related to our Cyber Security Program, ensuring compliance and best practices.
