About The Position

This position works in a team environment to give support to the Director, Program Financial Officers (PFO), and other support staff of the Division. This position will work primarily with the PFOs assigned to the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention to prepare rent invoicing and coding, review contract funding lines, verify payroll codes, generate personnel budget and payroll reports, conduct project coordination, generate salary projections for numerous grant applications, manage and prepare the annual rent schedule, conduct research, maintain headcount data, enter and reviews data, review contract data for erroneous or missing data, review account balances, review financial reports to identify negative balances, create data queries from State systems for analytical purposes, conduct invoice trouble-shooting, code and processes invoices, generate delivery orders, and generate numerous excel documents to assist Divisional staff with research and or financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Six (6) year combination of education, training, and/or experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing improvements to organizational and/or managerial systems, programs, and practices.
  • A demonstrated ability to manipulate large data using Excel, accessing state financial data from various state financial systems, such as the Budget and Financial Management System, the Oracle Analytics Cloud Service, Advantage, SQL, and several Customer Relationship Management systems for the departments contracts, grants, and financial orders.
  • In addition, a demonstrated ability to learn and or utilize multiple excel functions to assist with data manipulation and analysis.
  • Must possess technological skills and knowledge to learn, navigate, and extrapolate state financial data from data systems of various vintages including contemporary and or legacy systems.
  • Be able to interpret data sets that may contain errors and or to make analytical conclusions and ultimately recommendations to Divisional staff based upon own analysis.
