About The Position

Choctaw Contracting Services is seeking a highly experienced Operational Psychologist to support INSCOM health and wellness initiatives. This role directly supports psychological readiness, personnel suitability, and resilience within sensitive intelligence and operational environments. The role functions as a trusted advisor, working closely with senior military leadership and command personnel to support assessment, selection, performance optimization, and non-clinical resilience efforts in support of mission readiness.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
  • Graduate from an APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited psychology internship (or an internship/residency acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Army).
  • Minimum of five (5) years post-doctoral experience within the past ten (10) years in the independent practice of psychology in the area of personnel selection, preferably in a government setting such as the DoD or Intelligence Community.
  • Current, full, unrestricted license to practice psychology in any U.S. state or territory
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross).
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • TOP Secret/SCI eligibility required
  • Ability to conduct, administer, and interpret a full spectrum of psychological assessment tools
  • Demonstrated experience in operational psychology, behavioral research, and behavioral health practices.
  • Strong consultation skills and ability to provide professional guidance to command-level personnel.
  • Ability to manage assessment documentation, records, and selection-related materials in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Support the assessment and selection of personnel assigned to sensitive military and intelligence roles.
  • Provide professional feedback to unit leadership regarding suitability of personnel for specific organizations or positions.
  • Conduct, administer, and interpret a full spectrum of psychological assessment tools.
  • Consult with command personnel and senior leaders on assessment outcomes and personnel considerations.
  • Support non-clinical mental resilience and performance enhancement initiatives.
  • Provide non-clinical crisis response support and follow-up intervention following critical incidents.
  • Deliver professional development briefings, awareness education, and psychoeducational training as requested.
  • Support initiatives that enhance understanding and utilization of health and wellness program resources.
  • Assist OTCS in evaluating the effectiveness of Health & Wellness initiatives focused on psychological resilience.
  • Identify policy and procedural gaps and support the development of recommendations that may influence Army and DoD-level guidance.
  • Analyze command and Army metrics and produce reports, papers, and briefing materials for senior leadership.
