About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Operational Plans Specialist to support the Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) G‑5 Plans Division. This role is responsible for long‑range planning, campaign design, mobilization planning, and OPLAN/CONPLAN development to ensure Marine Forces Reserve integration across Service and Joint operations.
This is an onsite position working Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (0700–1800).

Requirements

• Graduate of one of the following advanced warfighting schools (mandatory):
• USMC School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW)
• U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS)
• U.S. Navy Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS)
• USAF School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS) (accepted equivalent)
• Active TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for JWICS access.
• Demonstrated experience supporting OPLAN/CONPLAN development, deliberate planning, or strategic campaign design.
• Proven ability to brief senior leaders and work within multi‑service and joint planning environments.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience within CCMD headquarters, Marine Corps G‑3/5, or Joint operational planning staffs.
• Familiarity with TPFDD development and deployment planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Support development and refinement of Marine Corps and Combatant Command OPLANS and CONPLANS.
• Conduct daily liaison with HQMC PP&O, MARFORRES leadership, and MSCs to ensure alignment with strategic and operational priorities.
• Apply MCPP and JPP expertise to perform operational analysis, POA&M development, and future readiness assessments.
• Support mobilization planning and convey mobilization processes in accordance with Marine Corps Order 3061.1 (Total Force Mobilization and Deployment Plan).
• Maintain MARFORRES equities within Time‑Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD).
• Provide liaison to external planning organizations at Marine Corps, Joint, and interagency levels.
• Participate in theater security, campaign development, and deliberate planning conferences, preparing and delivering required briefings.
• Utilize ETMS2 and AMHS to support task management and message traffic.
