The Operational Automation Integrator will analyze current laboratory processes and collaborate with laboratory management and Lean SMEs to identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and lean process improvements. This role involves applying lean principles to successfully integrate automation solutions into existing laboratory workflows, minimizing operational disruption. The integrator will partner with automation engineers to connect new automated equipment to existing workflows, data systems, and reporting environments, and translate operational requirements into integration specifications. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining documentation for automation systems, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and collaborating with IT to establish secure network connectivity and cybersecurity standards. The position also requires collaboration with vendors and internal teams to drive automation projects, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for integration-related issues, and acting as the technical integration lead for PMO-driven initiatives. The integrator will also develop tools to quantify project impacts, ensure compliance with validation requirements, assist other Eurofins BPT sites, and collaborate with college/university robotics teams for innovation.
