Job Summary Provide back up for all key mail center positions in the incumbents’ absence, as well as assist in planning, directing, and coordinating activities at government mail centers to ensure that goals are accomplished in a timely manner. Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • Possess security clearance (TS or Secret) or ability to obtain clearance required.
  • Valid driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work related travel required.
  • Eligible drivers must have a good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be attentive to detail.
  • Proactive in identifying safety risks and implementing best practices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Web-based SC Logic applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret operational and safety policies and protocols, and corporate policies.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization; excellent customer service skills.
  • A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities and skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years’ experience in postal operations preferred.
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records and files according to contract and company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with CARF standards for case records, including diagnostic and medical information.
  • Manage personnel files and develop systems for auditing and quality assurance.
  • Maintain open communication with mail management, customers, and management personnel.
  • Travel within the compound and to offsite locations to provide mail center coverage.
  • Supervise and cover the accountable mail section during employee absences. (as needed)
  • Input time sheets, MODAPTS data, safety reports, status reports, and QA inspection results.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards across all operations.
  • Oversee and guide two Customer Service Clerks.
  • Provide training, support, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and customer-focused work environment.
  • Perform mail center closing procedures when scheduled.
  • Driving may be required for the position.
  • Participate in all other training required by funding sources and/or the corporation.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal safety and environmental codes, ordinances, standards and laws.
  • Adhere to all corporate and local safety plans, policies, practices and standards.
  • Be aware of and follow all safety rules of your work site.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or accidents to your supervisor.
  • Practice standard precautions (formerly universal precautions) always.
  • Participate in mandatory or available safety training.
