This role is listed as a "Work From Home" location, so candidates may be located in the southeastern United States, but preferably in the Georgia or Florida markets. The Quaker Operation Sales Manager ("MOS") is an integral part of the field sales organization for the Quaker Foods United States sales team. The MOS position reports to the Director of Field Execution for the Pepsico Foods United States Warehouse Sales Team. The MOS is responsible for driving profitable revenue and maximizing in-store execution by wiring with the customer operations contacts at Publix and other key customers located in the southern United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 5+ years of sales experience with consumer-packaged goods organizations
  • Highly motivated individuals with excellent communication skills, analytic strengths, negotiation experience, and cross-functional influence experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer headquarter sales and/or category management experience is a plus.
  • Retail operations management experience.
  • Strong analytical and data-processing skills including IRI analytics, fact-based selling presentation development, score carding, and Joint Business Planning experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibility of the Operation Sales Manager is to engage division, region, and district operations contacts who influence buying and execution. These engagements are primarily via face-to-face meetings but may be via electronic communications. The purpose of these meetings will be to drive incremental net revenue sales and in-store execution above and beyond activity sold by the headquarter customer manager.
  • Understand account execution priorities through regular engagement with the headquarter customer managers, review upcoming plans, execute post event analyses, and provide solutions to key business challenges at a customer level
  • Collaborate with the headquarter customer managers in the development of customer execution plans which growth the pounds and points on the perimeter for our Quaker Foods United States brands at a rate that is greater than that of our competitors' brands.
  • Collaborate and partner with their FLNA DSD and Pepsico DSD counterparts at a customer level to ensure greater scale of Quaker products within the execution of Pepsico Power of One program execution.
  • Communicate upcoming key ad activity, display commitments, and new product introductions to customer operation contacts and to our Pepsico Direct Retail Teams.
  • Improve the size, scale (inventory), and positioning of display locations above-beyond the customer headquarter commitments, including the influencing of customer display planners.
  • Meet on a period basis to review customer execution performance against key financial and display metrics.
  • Assist the Quaker Frontline Management team in the development of account priorities and execution plans to be completed in their assigned customers.
  • Coordinate and facilitate POS forecasting, ordering, and logistics for major Quaker marketing events as well as customer-specific promotions.
  • The MOS will provide financial management in the form of POS and Equipment forecasting, ordering, and tracking as well as managing their Travel and Entertainment spending within a predefined budget.
  • The MOS will connect and maintain relationships throughout the Publix merchandising and operations teams, including senior executives as well as other customers who may be assigned to this person by the Director of Execution.

  • Dollar share growth in key categories
  • Incremental dollar Net Revenue growth based on operation selling
  • In-person meetings with operation contacts versus plan
  • Exceed customer execution growth KPIs

Benefits

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
