About The Position

Vertiv is seeking a driven and high-performing Manager of Vertiv Operating System (VOS) to support the deployment and advancement of Lean transformation across our global enterprise. This role will focus on enabling functions — such as Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Marketing, and Strategy — to embed Lean thinking, elevate performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. As a key member of the VOS team, this individual will act as a strategic business partner and coach, empowering teams through practical tools, clear standards, and cultural change. This position requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record in Lean deployment and a strong understanding of how to bring continuous improvement to life within complex, cross-functional environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Business, Operations, or Engineering preferred.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent experience (required); Master Black Belt or equivalent coaching credentials a plus.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience leading Lean or operational excellence efforts in global, matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated success deploying Lean methodologies in corporate or back-office environments (e.g., Finance, Legal, HR, IT, Marketing).
  • Exceptional coaching, facilitation, and communication skills — with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect continuous improvement to functional and enterprise value.
  • Proven ability to thrive in dynamic environments, independently manage multiple priorities, and deliver tangible outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including occasional global travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VSM, maturity models, and cultural change management frameworks preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a deployment advisor for VOS initiatives across enabling functions, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide Lean strategy.
  • Facilitate workshops, kaizen events, and structured problem-solving to drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and experience.
  • Coach function and business leaders on Lean tools, maturity assessments, standard work, visual management, and process design.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration through swimlane mapping, value stream diagnostics, and best-practice sharing across departments.
  • Develop and support governance mechanisms, including VOS maturity tracking, KPI alignment, and leadership engagement routines.
  • Model a culture of ownership and empowerment by helping teams internalize Lean mindsets and behaviors that sustain progress over time.
  • Support deployment across both cultural and tactical dimensions — from team-level coaching to enterprise system-level change.
