About The Position
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) – 13 Week Contract We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week contract assignment supporting a hospital-based surgical services department. This role is ideal for OR nurses with strong intraoperative experience who are comfortable working in fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environments .
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
- Experience with robotic surgery and orthopedic and/or neurosurgical cases
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
- Ability to remain focused and effective in high-pressure surgical settings
- BLS (AHA required)
Nice To Haves
- ACLS and PALS preferred
- BSN preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across the perioperative continuum , including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
- Prepare and maintain the operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers by anticipating procedural needs
- Enforce sterile technique and infection prevention protocols
- Accurately document surgical procedures and patient care
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary surgical team to ensure safe and efficient operations
