About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to
work on 8-13 weeks contract for one of our clients, a hospital, located in
Brooklyn, NY.

Minimum 2 shifts per week (Monday - Friday); 12;00PM – 8:00PM.

Requirements

• Active RN license; BSN preferred
• 2+ years OR experience (scrub and/or circulate)
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• CNOR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique, surgical instruments, and perioperative workflows
• Proficiency with EMR documentation and OR safety protocols

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• CNOR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-op assessment; verify patient identity, consent, and site (time-out)
• Prepare OR, equipment, and supplies; ensure sterile/aseptic technique
• Circulate during procedures; support scrub role per competency
• Position and prep patient; collaborate with anesthesia and surgical team
• Monitor patient status and administer meds as ordered
• Manage counts (sponges/instruments/needles) and specimen handling
• Document care and events; maintain OR safety and infection control
• Coordinate post-op handoff to PACU; respond to emergencies as needed
