About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to work on 8-13 weeks contract for one of our clients, a hospital, located in Brooklyn, NY. Minimum 2 shifts per week (Monday - Friday); 12;00PM – 8:00PM. Requirements: Active RN license; BSN preferred 2+ years OR experience (scrub and/or circulate) BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred CNOR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Strong knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique, surgical instruments, and perioperative workflows Proficiency with EMR documentation and OR safety protocols Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Perform pre-op assessment; verify patient identity, consent, and site (time-out) Prepare OR, equipment, and supplies; ensure sterile/aseptic technique Circulate during procedures; support scrub role per competency Position and prep patient; collaborate with anesthesia and surgical team Monitor patient status and administer meds as ordered Manage counts (sponges/instruments/needles) and specimen handling Document care and events; maintain OR safety and infection control Coordinate post-op handoff to PACU; respond to emergencies as needed Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g. location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity).

Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • 2+ years OR experience (scrub and/or circulate)
