Under general supervision, and following established procedures, performs a variety of technical radiologic procedures on pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, using standard, portable, Intraoperative fluoroscopy (C-arm) and/or specialized X-Ray equipment in order to provide information for physicians for the diagnosis and treatment of patients' illnesses and injuries. The major Focus will be on pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative spinal procedures. Additional Information Essential Functions Explaining procedures to patients and answering questions. Preparing equipment for use as needed, especially C-arms and portable radiography equipment Preparing examination rooms for patient exams. Positioning patients for imaging exams. Monitoring patients during exams. Documenting information with computers, especially assuring all pertinent required patient images and documentation are entered appropriately into the hospitals EMR and PACS systems. Reporting important information to the physician. Ensuring safety of patients during exams. Producing diagnostic images of soft tissues. Administering targeted doses of radiation to the patient's body to treat cancer or other diseases. Proficient in all aspects of sterile technique and working radiographic equipment in a sterile environment.
