Requirements

Minimum 1+ year of recent OR RN experience (Scrub and/or Circulating) in an acute care setting required
Nursing Diploma or higher degree in Nursing
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS (AHA) required within 30 days of hire
Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

Perioperative Care: Deliver safe and effective patient care using the nursing process, clinical judgment, and critical thinking.
Patient Preparation: Manage preoperative care including medications, IV therapy, and surgical site verification (briefing, time-out, debriefing).
Clinical Monitoring: Assess patients before, during, and after procedures, documenting all care accurately.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with surgeons, providers, and surgical technologists to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.
Patient Advocacy & Education: Educate patients and families about procedures, conditions, and post-operative care.
Emergency Response: Identify and respond promptly to emergencies within the operating room setting.
