About The Position

The Department of Radiology at University of Colorado Denver is seeking applicants for a full-time radiologist and faculty member in the Neuroradiology Section. We are interested in candidates at any stage of their career from the Sr. Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. Faculty can exclusively focus on clinical work with no research or promotion expectations. The department offers productivity-based compensation for this position with hybrid options. Faculty also have the ability to engage in the teaching mission and are eligible for academic incentives. The department has an excellent track record of obtaining J1 waivers, and candidates are encouraged to apply. The department will provide a robust relocation package along with a signing bonus. Candidate should be a team-oriented individual who values patient-centered care, teaching, process improvement, and scholarship. Opportunities to become part of nationally recognized teams in Stroke, Dementia, Movement Disorder, MS, TBI, advanced spine procedures including CSF Leak, H&N imaging, and Neuro-oncology. University of Colorado Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. Resources include dedicated 3D technologists for fMRI/DTI, MR guided High frequency ultrasound, intraOp 3T, research-dedicated scanner (PET-CT, 3T MR, PET-MR), cyclotron, and GMP radiopharmaceutical production facility, image analysis laboratory, full spectrum of small animal imaging equipment, biostatistical support. Mentorship and professional development is strongly supported at the Department and Section level.

Requirements

  • Licensed MD or DO from accredited institution in the U.S., or equivalent, if a non-U.S. graduate, must be ABR eligible or certified, and have Colorado license by the time of hire.
  • Interpretation of radiology imaging studies and procedures
  • Competency in basic radiology procedures

Responsibilities

  • The successful recruit will be an anchor provider at a primary site of practice with an occasional need to cover other sites within the Denver Metro area.
  • Participation and collaboration through interdisciplinary conferences is ongoing
  • Participation in fellow, and resident education is expected
  • Being one of the primary radiologists at our hospital, regular interaction with referring providers within our highly collaborative setting is a standard expectation of the role.
