About The Position

The Accounting Area in the Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for multiple non-tenure track faculty positions in Accounting and Business Law at the level of Assistant Professor of Practice. Associate and Full Professor of Practice appointments will also be considered, based on qualifications and experience. Faculty members are responsible for developing and updating curriculum, teaching multiple courses in taxation, accounting information systems and/or business law, as well as participating in various service activities for the Accounting Area or the Naveen Jindal School of Management. These appointments may commence in January, June or August 2026.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates should hold a master's degree or equivalent in Accounting, as well as an active CPA License. Additionally, qualified candidates will have at least 7 years of experience in the accounting profession, with preference given to those candidates with significant professional experience in taxation.
  • Alternatively, qualified candidates should hold a Juris Doctor degree and have at least 5 years of professional legal experience.
  • Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives.
  • We are seeking candidates able to deliver high quality teaching using evidence-based practices to effectively engage students from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
  • An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline and a record of productivity and professional achievement.
  • To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.

  • Teach eight (8) classes each academic year
