The Department of Neuroscience at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites applications for an open rank position in the research area of cortical circuit development and function. Applicants should have a PhD and/or MD with appropriate research expertise and are expected to possess an outstanding record of high-quality publications and a strong potential to secure extramural research funding. MUSC’s research-oriented Department of Neuroscience comprises a successful PhD graduate program, two NIH-funded T32 training grants for pre- and postdoctoral scholars, and two NIH-funded Centers. MUSC is located in the coastal city of Charleston, SC – a city known for its rich history, arts and culture, higher education, architecture, top-rated restaurants, and beautiful beaches.
