About The Position

The Division of Audiology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites applications for a full-time Pediatric Audiologist (Instructor level) to join our nationally recognized academic medical center. This full-time faculty position includes comprehensive pediatric audiologic care across outpatient and inpatient settings. The Audiologist will primarily practice at our new Summerville, SC location, and at the R. Keith Summey Medical Pavilion in North Charleston, SC.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited institution
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A)
  • South Carolina Audiology Licensure (or eligibility)

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
  • An interest in clinical research and academic growth is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Pediatric diagnostic audiologic evaluations for children 0-20 years, including infant hearing follow up screenings, sleep ABRs and sedated ABRs
  • Pediatric amplification selection, fitting, and management
  • Pediatric osseointegrated device evaluation and programming
  • Pediatric inpatient and outpatient diagnostic testing in coordination with ENT physician appointments
  • Supervise 4th-year Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) students
  • Provide instruction to Otolaryngology residents and interns
  • Deliver lectures to residents and house staff as assigned
  • Participate in Audiology seminars and departmental conferences
  • Contribute to or collaborate in ongoing clinical research
