The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, in collaboration with departments in the School of Medicine and across the entire University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is seeking outstanding candidates for faculty positions at all ranks in basic and translational cancer research. This broad-based recruitment seeks several creative scientists in fundamental molecular, cellular and computational areas applicable to cancer etiology, progression, metastasis and therapy. Areas of interest include but are not limited to: animal and non-animal models for cancer research, signaling, systems biology, cancer genetics/genomics/epigenetics, tumor virology, cancer immunology, development of therapeutics and biologics, immunogenomics, gene editing and data science/AI. Applicants should have a strong record of recent accomplishments as a postdoctoral fellow or sustained productivity as an established faculty member. Appointment and rank in an academic department will be determined by the applicant’s qualifications. Initial consideration will be given for applications submitted by December 1st, 2025, with additional consideration given for applications submitted by January 16th, 2026.
