About The Position
The Department of Biostatistics in the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a tenure-track or tenured faculty members, starting in Fall 2026. These 12-month full-time position will be at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor depending on qualifications and experience. The department seeks an exceptional candidate who can contribute to the academic and research enterprise of the department. The successful applicants will be expected to develop and maintain a research program supported by external funding and to be engaged in the teaching, mentoring, and service activities of the department.

- Applications are encouraged from candidates with expertise in statistical methods in artificial intelligence with application to public health and/or biomedical research including areas such as cancer, climate, decision support, electronic health records, environmental health, multimodal data fusion, and precision health, among other related areas.
