About The Position

The Reeves School of Business at Methodist University invites applications for a Full-Time/Tenure Track Open Rank Faculty of Business Administration, beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Business Law and Employment Law. The ability to teach additional courses within the Reeves School of Business is strongly preferred. Such areas may include Ethics, Corporate Governance, Accounting, Fraud Examination, or other business disciplines aligned with the candidate’s credentials and experience. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and student engagement across delivery modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. The successful candidate will build positive relationships with students and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive academic environment that supports student engagement and belonging across diverse identities, backgrounds, and perspectives. Other responsibilities include mentoring students, participating in accreditation processes, contributing to program assessment, engaging in scholarly or professional activity consistent with ACBSP standards, and providing service to the department, school, and university. Requirements

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited institution is required.
  • An earned terminal degree is required for tenure-track consideration.
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach Employment Law and foundational Business Law courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Admission to a state bar and relevant professional experience are preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a CPA license or have completed at least 18 graduate hours in accounting.
  • Prior university-level teaching experience is strongly desired.
  • The capacity to teach in additional business disciplines, particularly accounting, is highly desirable.
