About The Position

The Medical University of South Carolina’s Division of Rheumatology and Immunology is actively recruiting for a clinician faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor or above. This role requires expertise in Rheumatology and Immunology and emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and teamwork. The position offers a robust clinical practice with a dedicated team of Rheumatologists, with all outpatient care conducted at one of the Charleston clinics. While research is not a mandatory component, candidates will have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials if interested. The university provides strong interdisciplinary specialty support. MUSC, founded in 1824, has a long tradition of providing clinical services within adult Rheumatology. The institution attracts over $250 million annually in research funding and operates MUSC Health, a 750-bed medical center including a nationally recognized Children’s Hospital, the Ashley River Tower, Hollings Cancer Center, a Level I Trauma Center, and the Institute of Psychiatry, along with over 100 outreach clinics and telehealth sites. Requirements

  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient care

Responsibilities

  • Participate in teaching and mentoring students, interns, residents and fellows
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient services within adult Rheumatology
  • Participate in bedside teaching activities
