About The Position

Responsible for providing clinical assessment and treatment services to clients with a variety of mental health issues in an outpatient clinic setting. Work requires the ability to prepare detailed assessment of patient referrals and provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions. Works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide optimal, quality services to clients. Responsible for completion of client medical records, in compliance with regulatory standards. Develops discharge plans and linkages aimed to encourage functioning within the community. Will participate in staff meetings, trainings, in-services and supervision. Will be responsible for providing clinical supervision for staff and interns and work with Director of assigned department on program development.

Requirements

  • Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Master’s degree in social work, psychology or closely related field
  • Licensure required commensurate to degree as required by the State of New Jersey; LCSW or LPC plus 2+ years of clinical experience
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office
  • ACCESS program only: Ability to communicate fluently in American Sign Language, familiarity with Deaf Culture and be knowledgeable about current technology in use for individuals with hearing loss.
  • Valid driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable safe driving record, as well as compliance with Qualifications to Drive a System Vehicle as well as all policies as outlined in the SJH Fleet Management & Safety Program.

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
