About The Position

As an Onsite Technician you will be responsible for facilitating Arcwood's onsite Environmental Assistance Program at a customer location. This position will play a critical role in supporting our customers with their waste management programs by assisting with waste collection, bulking and waste area inspections.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Valid driver's license (required)
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record Search to Company standards
  • Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
  • Due to the potential exposure to atmospheres/waste/materials, this position requires individuals to be clean shaven at all times in order to don a respirator for protection.

Nice To Haves

  • Some science-related post-secondary coursework (preferred)
  • 1+ years of related experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Assists onsite customer with waste management program such as waste collection, bulking or waste area inspections
  • Assists Onsite Chemists in the movement and segregation of chemical storage containers by hazard class
  • Utilizes knowledge of customer's standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Arcwood protocols to effectively store and process materials
  • Develops strong customer relationships by effectively communicating with all involved parties and providing required reporting or status updates
  • Communicates customer needs to assigned Project Manager to ensure customer is fully supported and Arcwood team members are aware of any changes
  • Collects hazardous and non-hazardous materials from various onsite locations and transports them via Company vehicle to waste collection areas
  • Performs basic spill cleanup and standard housekeeping duties as required
  • Assists with the general processing needs of electronic scrap materials
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
