Onsite Garment Technician
About The Position
In this role, you will report to Site Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Basic computer skills Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility is preferred but not required Excellent customer service skills including a professional can-do demeanor. Requirements
- 1+ years of customer service, inventory replenishment, and/or material handling experience required
- Microsoft Teams experience preferred
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent customer service skills including a professional can-do demeanor.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or GED is preferred but not required
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Point of use replenishment of the PPE (bunny suits) the Technicians wear in the cleanroom.
- Collection and inspection of used garments.
- Document usage data at point of use and add it to the tracking log.
- Receive inbound shipments from common carriers, including reviewing and approving invoices and shipping receipts.
- Responsible for preparing shipping documentation and staging material for pickup.
- Daily inspections of inventory & soil bin checks to avoid overflow.
- Ordering new garments as needed or any special sizes.
- Point person for any garment issues or concerns.
