These daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to facility cleaning, minor maintenance and repairs on facilities, structures, equipment, sidewalks, drainage and skilled and semi-skilled disciplines, e.g., plumbing, masonry, carpentry, flooring, irrigation, and electrical.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED
Supplemented by demonstrated ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the work and general knowledge of maintenance work
Additionally, must possess a valid, clean Florida Driver’s License
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer, and printer
Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
Must be able to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 20lbs across the office for various needs
Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions while on-site at various communities
Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder or stairs
Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach as needed.
Ability to lift or move objects up to 10–15 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies).
Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
Visual acuity to read printed materials, spreadsheets, and computer screens.
Hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in virtual meetings.
Ability to work in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels.
Ability to work a standard schedule, with occasional extended hours as required.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and custodial work in the assigned areas
Responsible for accomplishing a daily routine of general and preventative facilities maintenance and repair tasks to provide environmentally safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient facilities and parks
Performs related work as directed by management
Such daily responsibilities will be facility cleaning, minor maintenance and repairs on facilities, structures, equipment, sidewalks, drainage and skilled and semi-skilled disciplines, e.g., plumbing, masonry, carpentry, flooring, irrigation, and electric
