These daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to facility cleaning, minor maintenance and repairs on facilities, structures, equipment, sidewalks, drainage and skilled and semi-skilled disciplines, e.g., plumbing, masonry, carpentry, flooring, irrigation, and electrical.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Supplemented by demonstrated ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the work and general knowledge of maintenance work
  • Additionally, must possess a valid, clean Florida Driver’s License
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer, and printer
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Must be able to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
  • Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 20lbs across the office for various needs
  • Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions while on-site at various communities
  • Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder or stairs
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach as needed.
  • Ability to lift or move objects up to 10–15 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
  • Visual acuity to read printed materials, spreadsheets, and computer screens.
  • Hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in virtual meetings.
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Ability to work a standard schedule, with occasional extended hours as required.

Responsibilities

  • The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and custodial work in the assigned areas
  • Responsible for accomplishing a daily routine of general and preventative facilities maintenance and repair tasks to provide environmentally safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient facilities and parks
  • Performs related work as directed by management
  • Such daily responsibilities will be facility cleaning, minor maintenance and repairs on facilities, structures, equipment, sidewalks, drainage and skilled and semi-skilled disciplines, e.g., plumbing, masonry, carpentry, flooring, irrigation, and electric
