About The Position

The Onsite Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance of buildings and grounds at HOA residential communities, under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

2+ years of maintenance experience preferred
Experience with Carpentry, Concrete, Doors, Drywall, Fencing, Plumbing and Painting required
Must be able to speak, read and write English. Bilingual a plus
Must be a proficient problem-solver
Must know how to use tools, supplies, materials, chemicals in a manner that does not endanger self, other employees, residents, the environment or the public in general
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach frequently.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier with assistance.
Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
Visual acuity to inspect equipment, read gauges, and perform detailed tasks.
Hearing ability to detect alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions in noisy environments.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise, outdoors).
Ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, on-call, and overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Cleaning, Locks and Gutters highly desired
Experience and skills with simple electric maintenance is a plus, but not necessary
Pool maintenance experience is a plus, but not necessary

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and routine maintenance.
Process incoming requests in the system and follow up as needed
Ensure completion of work orders using work order system.
General maintenance, janitorial and grounds work throughout the Community Associations.
Periodic inspections of grounds, common area buildings and structures.
Advising supervisor of needed repairs, improvements and safety issues.
Understanding of Carpentry, Concrete, Doors, Drywall, Fencing, Cleaning, Gutters, Locks, Plumbing and Painting

$25.00 - $27.00 salary per hour (depending on experience)
