The Onsite Maintenance Technician [Tier II] will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.

Requirements

  • CTS certification
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner including soldering & crimping connectors
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Setup and breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needs
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to: ensuring that all technology works as designed and testing/repairing various hardware components
  • Clean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses, monitors and equipment fans.
  • Responsible for job site documentation and providing client training on the AV Technology as needed
  • Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: meeting support, installing non-complex AV components, and video/audio recording support where applicable
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPL
  • Understand and adhere to local safety standards for all site duties
  • Setup, operate and troubleshoot various audio/video systems
  • Travel to various job sites as required
  • Provide direct assistance to end users in the operation of the AV/UC conference rooms, digital signage, and Mersive systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and services on AV/UC conference rooms, digital signage, and Mersive systems.
  • Perform maintenance support on all AV/UC conference rooms, digital signage, and Mersive systems including basic troubleshooting and system fault isolation.
  • Provide setup and operational support for events..
  • MACD for home office conference room relocations
  • Work a flexible schedule as required by the Customer.
  • Perform service troubleshooting and maintenance support on AV/UC conference rooms, digital signage, and Mersive systems.
  • Setup and monitor video calls as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all Customer safety and procedural guidelines.
  • Track all maintenance activity start to finish with proper documentation as required.
  • Coordinate RMA processing and parts procurement as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory on all AV/UC conference rooms, digital signage, and Mersive systems including spare parts as required
  • Remotely monitor all Mersive screen share devices
  • Monitor legacy Digital Signage devices at all sites using existing tools
  • For local signage devices, handle device replacement as needed
