About The Position

The Online Sales Specialist (Contractor) is responsible for driving online sales through digital channels by managing product listings, supporting customer inquiries, and optimizing the online buying experience. This role focuses on converting digital interest into revenue through effective listing management, responsiveness, and performance optimization. The position supports e-commerce growth while partnering with internal teams to ensure accuracy, availability, and strong customer engagement. This position operates in a professional, in-office environment with regular collaboration across sales, operations, and marketing teams. While the role is contract-based, the position works onsite during scheduled hours to support online sales activity, coordination, and responsiveness.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in online sales, e-commerce, or digital customer support
  • Familiarity with online marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, or direct-to-consumer sales preferred
  • Strong written communication and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Comfortable working with digital tools, CRM systems, and online platforms
  • Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on conversion and customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge: gained through college education proven by their diploma, learned through applicable company trainings proven with training completion certificates
  • Basic Skill Requirements: documented in employee’s resume, proven by their acquisition of a college degree

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain online product and service listings across digital sales platforms
  • Respond to customer inquiries, quotes, and messages in a timely and professional manner
  • Support order processing, fulfillment coordination, and customer follow-up
  • Identify opportunities to convert inquiries into completed sales
  • Optimize product listings for clarity, accuracy, and conversion
  • Support pricing updates, promotions, and availability changes
  • Track online sales performance and identify trends or improvement opportunities
  • Ensure a positive and professional customer experience throughout the online sales process
  • Address basic customer issues and escalate as needed
  • Support repeat business through strong communication and follow-through
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure product accuracy, inventory alignment, and delivery expectations
  • Provide regular updates on online sales activity, performance, and customer feedback
