About The Position

Joining the Oncology team at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) offers a rewarding opportunity within one of BWH's largest service lines. As an Oncology nurse, you will care for a broad range of patients and be trained to administer life-saving treatments including Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-T. The BWH/DFCI Cancer Center also supports various research studies and protocols. Staff nurses can participate in BWH's shared governance structure to drive improvements and foster new ideas, working with a strong, supportive team on the frontlines of cancer treatment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts
  • For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hem/onc experience preferred
  • Prior Epic experience preferred
  • Membership in professional organizations is recommended
  • Certification in a specialty area is encouraged

Responsibilities

  • Providing care for a broad range of patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses
  • Providing patient and family education and support throughout their admission
  • Administering treatments including: Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-T
  • Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment
