Oncology Staff Nurse BWH
About The Position
The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc., part of Mass General Brigham, is seeking an Oncology Staff Nurse for a 36-hour variable nights position on the 4BC7C Oncology unit. This role offers the opportunity to care for a broad range of patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses and administer life-saving treatments including Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-T. The BWH/DFCI Cancer Center also supports various research studies and protocols. As an Oncology staff nurse, you will participate in the BWH shared governance structure to contribute to improvements and foster new ideas. Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts
- For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required
- Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract
Nice To Haves
- Prior Hem/Onc experience preferred
- Prior Epic experience preferred
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended
- Certification in a specialty area is encouraged
Responsibilities
- Providing care for a broad range of patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses
- Providing patient and family education and support throughout their admission
- Administering treatments including: Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-T
- Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment
