About The Position

Regions Hospital is seeking a Psychotherapist/Social Worker to join our Oncology department in a part time position. Provides psychosocial and behavioral health assessment, treatment planning and referral, to patients and families at HealthPartners Cancer Care Centers using a full range of social work treatment modalities. Utilizes and facilitates referrals to appropriate resources to achieve optimal levels of patient wellness and independence. Provides information, support and counseling to patients who have complex psychosocial needs. Provides guidance with eligibility determination for social programs/funding and for community assistance from specialty funds and agencies. Participates as an integral member of an interdisciplinary health care team to identify and progress a patient centered plan of care. Provides education to the community, patients, and other health care providers and assists with support programming. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), or a similar accreditation body designated by the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
  • Licensure level of LICSW MN Board of Social Work.
