About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY Position Summary: The Lead Oncology Data Specialist ensures all essential quality data related to patients is present within a computerized Cancer Registry. The Lead Specialist serves as a resource person to other Oncology Data Specialists and Tammy Walker Cancer Center, SRHC and other entities in the community and region; interacts with the medical staff and their employees; supports a positive work environment in the Cancer Program. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education Associate degree in Health Information Management/ cancer registry, business, data or health related field Minimum Experience Experience in cancer treatment or health related field preferred One year of cancer registry experience Required Registration/License/Certification None
