About The Position

This position operates within a multidisciplinary team to support clinical research from implementation of a protocol/trial, to patient support, through active data monitoring. The role involves collaborating with local hematology/oncology physicians, nurses, pharmacy, office support staff, and other research members across the BILH network to stay updated on oncology research and operations. The Clinical Research RN assists investigators, recruits and consents patients for trials, and provides supportive and direct patient care including scheduling, symptom monitoring, and follow-up. This is currently a 20-hour role, with flexibility up to 32 hours/week if preferred by the right candidate. Clinical resource nurses will work at both the Beverly Hospital and Addison Gilbert Hospital campuses.

Requirements

Must have 3-5 years of oncology experience
Superb organizational and communication skills
Comfortable with autonomous and independent work
MA RN license
BLS and ACLS

Nice To Haves

IV certification preferred

Responsibilities

Collaborates with local hematology/oncology physicians, nurses, pharmacy, office support staff as well as other research members across the BILH network to stay up to date with new and ongoing oncology research and operations
Assists investigators to meet the needs defined by particular studies
Works alongside providers to recruit and consent patients to various trials
Provides both supportive and direct patient care to those who enroll to a trial including scheduling collaboration, symptom monitoring and maintenance, and follow up care/monitoring
Acts as an active member on all multidisciplinary tumor boards and department committees
