About The Position

This position operates within a multidisciplinary team to support clinical research from implementation of a protocol/trial, to patient support, through active data monitoring. Clinical resource nurses will work at both the Beverly Hospital and Addison Gilbert Hospital campuses. This is currently a 20 hour role but if the right candidate prefers up to 32 hours/week the department could be flexible.

Requirements

Must have 3-5 years of oncology experience
superb organizational and communication skills
comfortable with autonomous and independent work
MA RN license
BLS and ACLS
Be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment

Nice To Haves

IV certification preferred

Responsibilities

Collaborates with local hematology/oncology physicians, nurses, pharmacy, office support staff as well as other research members across the BILH network t stay up to date with new and ongoing oncology research and operations
Assists investigators to meet the needs defined by particular studies
Works alongside providers to recruit and consent patients to various trials
Provides both supportive and direct patient care to those who enroll to a trial including scheduling collaboration, symptom monitoring and maintenance, and follow up care/monitoring
Acts as an active member on all multidisciplinary tumor boards and department committees
