The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Medical Oncology serves as a leader in clinical pharmacy practice in the area of oral oncolytics and supportive care for patients with solid tumor malignancies. This specialist participates in the management of oncology therapies in collaboration with providers and nurses. This role provides drug information and educational resources for the pharmacy staff, patients, residents/students, medical staff, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals. As part of an ambulatory specialist team focusing in solid tumors, this role will expand disease-state focused services for patients at Burlington, Peabody, and Winchester oncology locations along with other BIDMC oncology service locations. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will participate in the development of clinical guidelines/protocols, new programs/services, and facilitate professional development activities in their area of expertise. This position is a hybrid role supporting both affiliated clinics in person and working remotely, with day shift only, Monday through Friday, no weekends, and no holidays.
