About The Position

To provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of our greatest asset – OUR EMPLOYEES. Our agency supports second-chance employment for individuals who were previously incarcerated or justice-involved. This position is eligible for telework, and OSHR is currently offering a three-day in and two days remote hybrid schedule. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented onboarding supervisor to join our team at Temporary Solutions. Temporary solutions is a program of the North Carolina Office of State Human Resources (OSHR). We provide temporary worker recruitment, onboarding, and payroll services to North Carolina state government agencies exclusively. We also monitor and report on state agency compliance with temporary employment laws and policies.

Requirements

  • The skill to efficiently oversee tasks, resources, and deadlines while ensuring that the most important ones are prioritized and completed punctually.
  • The capability to develop structured strategies for managing various assignments simultaneously.
  • The proficiency to modify communication styles and techniques according to the audience and the intent of the message.
  • The competence to recognize and address the needs and issues of the agency, its customers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the Integrated Human Resource Payroll System of the State of North Carolina, along with experience in workflow and change management.
  • Bachelor’s degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 4 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the work of the IHRPS and Workday Support teams, ensuring that actions are processed in the IHRPS system on time and candidates are onboarded in Workday successfully.
  • Managing all onboarding activities for new and reinstated temporary employees and transfers in Workday.
  • Monitor and analyze workflow changes, including change management processes.
  • Ensure training is provided, and updates are communicated promptly.
  • Serve as a continuous support point for new temporary employees throughout their assignment.
  • Provide a positive onboarding experience for both the candidates and agency customers hiring the temporary employees.
