This role is required to be ON-SITE at our Coppell, TX office ON-SITE hours are M - F, 7am - 3:30pm CT The Sample Room Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the sample room, ensuring accurate tracking, organization, and inventory of merchandise samples. This role supports cross-functional teams by processing vendor samples, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating the movement and return of merchandise.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to accurately process inventory and documentation
- Basic computer skills and comfort working with databases or inventory systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to handle and move merchandise samples as required
Responsibilities
- Receive, open, and process incoming packages and merchandise samples as needed
- Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy
- Enter vendor invoices and sample information into the sample room database
- Create item tags and check-out documentation for tracking sample usage
- Transfer merchandise between the sample room, photo studio, and buying offices
- Coordinate and process vendor sample returns, including packing and shipping
- Prepare and ship outbound packages and other shipments as required
- Participate in buyer cart inventories according to the annually established schedule
- Conduct annual inventory of the entire sample room
- Generate and print inventory reports identifying missing items and coordinate chargebacks to brands for items that cannot be located
- Maintain an organized, accurate, and efficient sample room environment
