As the Sample Room Compounder , you are responsible for compounding and preparing samples for the sample room to process and ship to our customers. Your position is vital to the success and efficiency of how the sample room operates through collaboration with the sample rooms’ daily schedule, as well as assisting with the continuous improvement of the department and aligning with the production team’s goals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Utilizes the appropriate equipment (i.e., scales, heat baths, spinners) to measure, weigh and mix chemicals/ingredients in the proper manner and sequence to ensure fragrance/flavor samples align with formula specifications. Retrieves ingredients and prepares samples for the sample room to process. Observes raw materials and mixtures, both in odor and physical appearance, to ensure the quality and integrity of the product is intact. Reports on issues identified during the compounding procedures to the sample room coordinator and production supervisor to avoid shipment delays. Monitors supply levels of raw materials within your workstation and strategically maintain inventory levels to ensure the success of the following days' work schedule. Assists with inventory of materials and supplies through cycle counting and inventory adjustments. Updates sample room inventory by adding or adjusting quantities and assists with locating missing components for production, when requested, to ensure appropriate materials are on-hand to meet customer demand. Follows relevant standard operating procedures, including equipment maintenance and proper disposal of waste materials into waste bins marked in the receiving area. Promote a safe food culture by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting with cleaning and sanitation of workstation by utilizing and filling out daily checklists assigned to work area. Fosters a continuous improvement mentality and works with production team to help grow and expand efficiency gains within the department. Cross collaborates with various departments to ensure communication and execution of projects and customer needs are met. Engage in regularly scheduled one on ones with Production Supervisor and engage in departmental meetings to help sustain alignment across The Lebermuth Company.
